Image The Moroccan national team made history once again. At the 2026 FIFA World Cup, they defeated Canada 3-0, becoming the first African country to reach the last eight in two consecutive tournaments. They also advanced to the top eight in the 2022 tournament, making this achievement a milestone for African football. To date, the only African teams to reach the final eight are Cameroon (1990), Senegal (2002), Ghana (2010) and Morocco (2022 and 2026). Morocco's next opponent will be the winner of Paraguay vs. France. The 2026 World Cup is being held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico from June 11th to July 19th. ---
