Roma sporting director Tony Dummy met with Brighton officials in Milan on Wednesday to discuss the club's signing of Matt O'Reilly. Dummy SD arrived in Milan with his agent Pietro Scala and held several meetings. This included an unintentional meeting with Brighton officials when Brighton visited Milan to sign Atalanta's Ahanolu. According to reports from Reuters and other sources, O'Reilly is a player that Dummy SD has had their eye on for a long time and could be targeted by Brighton in the summer transfer window. O'Reilly had a bit of an irregular season last season. He joined Brighton on loan from Marseille the previous summer, but was expected to fill the void left by Adrien Rabiot. However, this season he returned to Brighton after scoring one goal in 15 games last winter. Roma plans to use this summer's transfer window to recruit more high-quality players in preparation for the Champions League, and intends to acquire two players, including a winger, to strengthen their attack, as well as a midfield player.
