England midfielder Eberechi Eze says the goalless draw with Ghana in Boston will not change the situation in Group L. The draw marks England's second draw in four consecutive competitions, with Thomas Tuchel's side unable to score against a solid defence. With this result, they are almost certain to advance to the last 32, but in order to clinch the top spot in the group, they will need to produce a better result than Ghana's performance against Croatia on Saturday against Panama. Eze said: "No, nothing changes because we are set to win. The mentality is the same, we are focused on doing what is necessary and winning. That is the main thing." "It's a long journey so it's important to believe in what we're doing and not get too high or too low. We're trying to do that, enjoy it as much as we can and be confident about what's to come." Eze dismissed the notion that England were too reliant on captain Harry Kane. Kane scored twice against Croatia last week but was largely unremarkable against Ghana, missing a second-half chance he would have normally scored. "He scores so many goals and it may seem that way because of his effective play, but we have a lot of talent, creativity and scoring options. But of course it helps to have a great player like him and we don't have to think about it any further," Eze explained. The team returns to its home base in Kansas City on Tuesday night and is now focused on its next important game against Panama in New Jersey. Eze blocked any outside comment on the result against Ghana, saying they were looking forward to returning to their "bubble". "It's good to be with professional colleagues and I enjoy spending time with them. I block out a lot of noise and I know there's a lot going on around us, but I'm very focused on what's going on inside and I'm enjoying that little bubble," he added. "It's important to cherish that and keep it that way. With so much talk in the media and about us, as long as we can stay close, that's what's really important."England are now gearing up for their next games and looking to progress further in the tournament.
