Roma set 5 million euro gap with Marseille in signing Greenwood

Roma have expressed their desire to sign Manson Greenwood as their first addition to the team when Jean-Pierre Gasperini takes over as manager. The manager believes Greenwood is the player who will take Roma's attacking line to the next level. Greenwood, a player born in 2001, has made Roma his top transfer destination, but negotiations with Marseille have not progressed and there are speculations that he wants to make a decision soon. The manager hopes to have Greenwood available for the club's pre-season training camp at Trigoria, which begins on July 24th. According to reports, there has been increased contact between Roma and Marseille in recent days, with Marseille reportedly offering to reduce Greenwood's transfer fee from 55 million euros to 50 million euros (both including bonuses). However, the amount offered by Roma is still lower than this amount. Roma initially offered Trigoria 40 million euros plus bonuses, but during negotiations, expectations changed to 45 million euros. Greenwood's annual salary has been agreed with Roma, with his annual salary of 4.5 million euros plus bonuses. But Rome needs to move quickly here. Fenerbahce and Atletico Madrid have also shown interest in Greenwood.
