Image Italian Serie A club Atalanta have agreed to sign Cagliari midfielder Gianluca Gaetano for 11 million euros (approximately 1.6 billion yen) plus bonuses. According to Sky Sport Italia, a personal agreement has been reached and final details are currently being worked out. Gaetano was acquired at the request of Atalanta manager Maurizio Sarri and will replace Ederson, who is moving to Manchester United. Gaetano came from Napoli's youth team and had loan spells at Cremonese and Cagliari before moving permanently to Cagliari in 2025 for 6.2 million euros. Last season, he played 35 games for Cagliari, scoring three goals and providing four assists.
